39 Life Changing Affirmations to boost your confidence!

Power of Positive Affirmations

The impossible things in life can be turned in to the I’m-possible cradle. The way of which we view life is dependent on the things that we tell ourselves. A statement made of positivity is used in challenge against a negative thought. To affirm means to state something as true.

The way we use affirmations are used in turn with our subconscious as a pattern of thinking by replacing them with more realistic and helpful ones. There are many uses for these tools such as boosting self-esteem, achieving goals, and pushing through fears. They work in place with supplying gratitude and appreciation. You remember how much you have and that releases happiness – something circumstantial and is attached to an external situation of being happy.

When gratitude & appreciation is expressed our brain releases three major endorphins that provide us with the feeling of genuine happiness. These emotional responses are related to our emotions and make us feel GOOD. They are known as serotonin (releases stress toxins), oxytocin (love chemical), and dopamine (pleasure enhancer).

Writing an Affirmation

When it comes to developing your own affirmations there are a couple of things that you must consider:

  • Start the statement with I or My

  • Press them into current tense

  • Keep it short and simple to remember

  • Avoid using negative impactful words – “don’t”, “won’t”, “can’t”

  • Specify them to you and your goals

Create your routine

It Is best to create a daily routine of providing yourself with self-care. You can do this in the morning, but also repeating some of your favorite affirmations throughout the day as needed – it is recommended 10x daily. One of the rules to this is create a nice and relaxing environment when you first wake up while your subconscious is open to this idea. You may also do this before bed since you may find yourself in a meditative state of mind. I like to look at myself in the mirror while I do this sometimes and it give me that feeling of empowerment, it may also be a helpful tip for you!

Where to place your affirmation statements?

You want to make sure to place your affirmations somewhere you are constantly around so that you can read, see, and speak them:

  • Mirrors: place sticky notes on them to remind you everywhere you go.

  • Desktop: online vision boards are great and free ways to pop-up out of no-where!

  • Screensaver: find a great affirmation and set it as your screensaver or background!

  • Print & hang: Create one of your favorite affirmations such as “My growth is a continuous process” and place it somewhere you go often.

Enjoy the Little things

Promoting a good self-esteem stems from positive affirmations. It is key to think, say, believe and breath positivity. All happiness stems from gratuity and appreciation. Be appreciative for what you have today and the people that are in your life. One thing that we always get another opportunity to do is start today.

Help someone in your community by spreading your joy and appreciation for the little things. Think about it, not everyone can say the same. Not everyone gets the second chance to say, “thank you” or “I love you”, but it is also important to be grateful for the things YOU have accomplished as well.

If you are looking for additional ways to express positivity into your life check out the Habit Nest: Gratitude sidekick journal in my store. This journal allows you to continue being grateful for things no matter if they are big or small.

After all, without positive self-talk you cannot heal what’s offset in your life.
