Strawberry season is finally here! The perfect time to use those freshly picked strawberries is now and what a better way to not let them go to waste than to create something so wonderful out of something so fruitful? It is almost the middle of summer, wow, it sure felt like it flew by in a blink of an eye – almost just as fast as our fresh fruits spoil. A few of my favorite recipes include the sweet reminisce of natural sugars and the recipes that I am going to share with you are perfect for the entire family or even a night on the BBQ.
The wonderful part of having fresh fruit during this time of year is experimentation with any recipe and any combination. For the most part, strawberries are a LOVING food and are used to express appreciation and love with our partners, friends, and family. Some of my favorite things to combine with strawberries are dark chocolate, honey, maple syrup, peanut butter oh and I cannot forget – cinnamon sugar.
Whether you are crunched for time or love to make your meals fresh, I am going to share 14 of my favorite ways that you can incorporate fresh berries into your daily, weekly, and monthly routine. Not only are they considered a natural and healthy alternative for weight loss, feeling better, and healing – but they have a variety of benefits to bring to the table such as lowering bad cholesterol, maintain glucose levels, providing a sufficient amount of Vitamin C and some other essential nutrients.
"Nature is so smart it put the medicine in food."
I encourage you to explore the recipes below with genuine curiosity so that you can take a recipe and make it your own. You will thank yourself for the future happiness you tummy will indulge in.
I am a huge fan of meal prepping and getting ahead of the week. Start the morning off right with this creamy, dreamy overnight oat recipe which makes the ultimate prep-ahead breakfast. This offers the perfect combo of whole grains, protein, fats, and fruits making this a well-balanced breakfast.
Oats contain a special type of fiber known as beta-glucan. This is a source of nourishment

that is designed to keep you feeling full longer and promote positive gut health. Strawberries and cream made with tasty plump fresh strawberries, almond milk, vanilla yogurt, and old-fashioned oats will satisfy all your needs to have you feeling great – mentally, physically, and emotionally. Decorate this prepared morning burst with adding some crunch to your bite. Some times I will add a little bit of my homemade granola (nut-free, gluten-free) or small pieces of roasted nuts. My favorite add-in to this is walnuts. This is a must try if you find yourself crunched for time, or are just looking for something other than your morning cereal bowl or high sugar pre-packaged oatmeal.
If you love healthy frozen desserts like I do, but you are lactose intolerant, like me, this guilt-free strawberry recipe is going to be your new best friend. Having a sweet treat ready to go during this time of year is my favorite. Not only that, but it is healthy - low calorie - and easy. This strawberry frozen yogurt recipe is something all members of your family can enjoy.

The smooth and thick texture of this dessert is just what we need to cool down with the warm weather. This will serve as the perfect traditional soft serve dessert and a new way to serve fruit other than a smoothie or popsicle. This recipe can be dairy free and low calorie depending on the substitutions that are used. Whip up a batch of this creamy, fresh strawberry yogurt or ice cream in no time. The best part of this dessert is the convenience and simplicity. It requires little effort and can be made with as little as 5 ingredients.
Finding the perfect recipe is not an easy task which is why this next item should be labeled a Strawberry “Crack” salad. I cannot stop eating it once I start. This creamy mixture of strawberries, pecans, and sprinkled pretzels really keeps my mouth watering just thinking about it.

Making a fluff salad as tasty as this looks will knock your socks right off! Whether you are craving salty or sweet, creamy, or crunchy, the strawberries, pecans, and pretzels pull all the flavors together. These potent little fruits contain enough nutrients – including vitamin C – to protect heart-health, increase good cholesterol, and lower blood pressure. Taste it for yourself and spoon out your own dish. After a long day at work, having a small bowl of this juicy dish is just what I need to take the edge off. If you prefer more of a glaze, you can drizzle your brand go-to of honey. The deeper in color the more sweet it will be. Remember the idea is to make this *FRESH* and last. It stores wonderfuly and will not last long enough to worry about how long it stays good for.
If you have read some of my other posts, you will see that I absolutely love banana bread… It is one of my go to treats of all time. It is a perfect fancy dessert with little effort. This fresh, juicy, and deliciously yummy strawberry banana bread is just bursting with strawberries in every bite!

This strawberry banana bread is fast, easy, and filling to eat with no mixer required - at all. It can be made nut, gluten, and dairy free by using the right substitutes. The moisture comes from using both fresh and ripened bananas with strawberries. This keeps the bread softer and springier than any other recipe you have tried. Fresh strawberries are always best, so if you grow your own, or have a local market nearby, make a quick stop on your way home! This is the best breakfast, midday snack, or night-time dessert warmed up just a little bit with some smooth almond butter, ghee, or strawberry jam (also on this list of favorites).
Nothing is better than a simple, easy, and no clean-up mess! This is one of those foods that takes me back to my childhood with loaded miniature strawberry pies that are fun to eat in two-bites. The flaky crust glazed in sweet and freshly chopped strawberries will fill that sweet tooth you have been having all day.

Topping this dessert with whipped cream right before you serve makes it that much better after the mini pies set with the sweet glaze. These remind me of a miniature version of strawberry pie – hence the name: Mini Strawberry Pie bites. The benefits that come with strawberries are limitless. The filling is easy to eat before it even makes it into the crustlets. Words of wisdom: wait until the final product is complete before taste testing or you won't have anything left to scoop. Eating these delicious fruits are rich in potassium and magnesium which can help reduce high blood pressure and ease blood flow through the rest of the body. Making this an ideal snack any time of the day!
What makes the best strawberry ice cream? The ripest of strawberries and two secret ingredients. You will love this iconic summer dessert! From dairy free to low calorie, when you are looking for a tasty summer treat to help you cool down, nothing quite beats some creamy homemade Old-Fashioned Strawberry Ice Cream.

One of the most important ingredients is farm fresh and ripened strawberries. Without these, this dessert will be a flop. Well, how can you tell if the strawberries are ripe? Because you can smell them within feet away. You can make this dairy free by substituting the dairy portions for any vegan milk of choice. I always test the waters even though I am lactose-intolerant, I have learned to take a deep breath in and look down at my belly, then in a stern voice I tell myself, "tolerate it, just tolerate the lactose!". It never really seems to work, but at least I know that someone will enjoy this delightfully textured frozen dessert. The recipe and the process are not that difficult, and you will never want to buy store bought ice cream again!

When you have your family over next, surprise them with a spice of homemade treats. This will be the one that is talked about for the next decade. Enjoy with your breakfast oatmeal, gluten-free carrot cake bread ( mentioned in another post), crispy toast, or with a spoonful of almond butter!
Summer is no joke for the perfect outdoor recipe. Old school comfort food at its best. With only a couple ingredients you can whip up this quick and tasty Strawberry Banana Cheesecake Salad with out a doubt and the clean up is little to none.

There are a variety of ways to make a “fluff” salad – most of them having either cream cheese or cool whip, often both. Usually there can be marshmallows and some type of fresh fruit with an instant pudding mix for the delectable flavoring. This fun dish is super easy to throw together in a pinch. Throw in some farm fresh strawberries, perfectly ripe bananas, some room temperature ingredients and voila – you will have yourself a mouth-watering and mess free side dish for dessert. Everyone on the block will be coming to your BBQ’s when they hear what you are holding back on!
My relationship with muffins is strong and I bake them because they are so easy to make. In my previous post I mentioned how tasty Zucchini muffins are… well, it is finally here, Strawberry Oatmeal muffins is a regular one for me, gluten and dairy free. They are soft, fluffy, and hearty right from the oats – and delicious.

These protein packed muffins are great for a morning brunch or a snack throughout the day with some light decadent glaze over top. The best part, there are only a few ingredients needed to create this yummy treat – fresh strawberries, old-fashioned oats, cinnamon, and some added ingredients for flavor. These healthy jewels substitute for the boring cereal or eggs in the morning. Depending on what you prefer, with the right substitutes these can be made Vegan, Paleo, gluten, and dairy-free. You will not be sorry for trying out this moist and delicious snack. Do not forget to set some aside in your own hiding space or else they will already be gone. Somehow it is like there are little fairies leaving behind crumbs on the muffin tray with a small trace left behind.
This next recipe will become one of your favorite go-to snacks no matter what time of day. Blitz up that summer treat with a perfectly nutritious, satiating, and fruitful touch by making the best Strawberry Almond Energy bites. You may find yourself popping one in the morning, savoring it in the afternoon, and dreaming about them in the evening.

Strawberries and Cream Energy Balls are a healthy alternative for snacking. This is a great recipe for kids and adults, something everyone will love from Paleo, Vegan, and free of any refined sugars. You can take them to go and not have to worry about a mess left behind. What man/woman/kid does not love strawberry cake in bites form? To make these even more tasty, try filling them with some sweet glaze from the Strawberry Jam recipe listed above! While not all energy balls have stellar nutrition profiles, these certainly do. I absolutely adore the idea of energy bites and have made almost any combination from a simple recipe that is compatible no matter what you are looking to fill that taste bud with.

In under 10 minutes you can make this dessert dip for any fruit dipping with as little as 5-ingredients. The filling dip is a perfect go-to for any snack and suits perfectly well with a bowl of fruit while sitting by the pool getting your tan on. This is the best season to make this since the main ingredient is handpicked fresh strawberries. There is no better place to be than in the comfort of your own lawn while indulging in such a delightful side dish. The kids will love the sweetness and your body will thank you for a low-calorie sweet tooth cover up. Plus, you get a huge advantage of not putting all that processed food inside your healthy and happy gut.
Transform your seasonal strawberries! With just 3 ingredients you can find yourself face deep in a bowl full of these intensely sweet, sticky & syrupy, semi-chocolatey, and vanilla(ey) roasted strawberries. It is never too late to party with this plentiful recipe no matter where you are.

These are incredibly easy to make and are dairy-free. Roasting is great for intensifying flavor and when you do the natural water content evaporates which intensifies that flavor. The natural sugars caramelize, and the sweetness is amplified. I really cannot put into words how satisfying this is. If you are like me, they may not even make it to a dish, but these Vanilla Roasted Strawberries are incredibly versatile straight from the tray. Oh yea, I forgot to mention, the best addition for this is to dabble over a chocolate graham cracker, homemade recipe is included – Yuuuummmmmm.
Time to get everyone introduced to this new fiesta dish. Perfect for summer fun and hanging out in the sun. During the next potluck or family get together surprise people with your “famous” Salsa dip. This Strawberry Avocado Mango Salsa is refreshing and amazing, your taste buds will be partying with you.

Bright and flavorful Strawberry salsa is great for dipping cinnamon crunch tortilla crisps, adding to salads, tacos, fish, or chicken meals! A new take on fruit salsa has my mind blown. With hints of hydrating sweetness from the subtle small of fresh strawberries and mango to nutrient-rich avocados. It only takes 15-minutes to make and prepare this dish for parties! You can spice it up with a little thanks to jalapeños, but feel free to skip this step if spice is not your thing. When you are ready, cover it up and throw in the refrigerator in a container and snack throughout the week – if it lasts that long.
When I am stuck in a rut with a meal, or it is one of those super busy days, it is nice to have a little inspiration even if it means just throwing together a piece of toast together with some local goodies – like fresh berries. This perfect breakfast/snack idea is great to inspire that sweet tooth of yours when you wake up, come home from work, or simply just need something healthy and filling.

There is no better way to start your morning than with this protein packed and nutrient rich breakfast. I like to throw some almond butter spread on my toast before adding any delectable toppings, but sometimes I need a change and like to use cream cheese. Once you are done layering try drizzling a small amount of honey over top and then tell me how your tummy feels (oh my gosh this is so good my mouth is already watering just thinking about it 😊). I promise the kids will beg you to make some more. It is almost too addictive, so I have to limit myself on this.
